"The University of Minnesota CPHP was established in 2002 and was in operation until 2010. During that time, CPHP trained state and local and tribal public health personnel and others to prepare for, respond to, and recover from public health threats and emergencies."

Outbreak at Watersedge puts players in the role of a public health official trying to track down the source of a mysterious illness. Players review medical charts, conduct interviews, investigate places where the outbreak may have started, and take samples of anything that may be related to the source. This free, online game was developed by the University of Minnesota.

In Super Munchers: The Challenge Continues…, players take control of a muncher and move around consuming words that fall under a category.

In Disaster in Franklin County: A Public Health Simulation, players assume the role of a public health professional during a time of a natural disaster. Players experience multiple professions in the public health industry in an attempt to gain a greater understanding of the issues involved in a natural disaster. This game was developed by the School of Public Health at the University of Minnesota.

"Owned and funded by the State of Minnesota, MECC, the Minnesota Educational Computing Consortium, was created on July 1, 1973. The state of Minnesota had the foresight to create an organization that would help schools on a statewide basis to plan for the use of computers. At the time, Minnesota was a significant center for computing--Honeywell, Control, Univac and IBM had installations in the state. MECC was designed to develop educational computing programs for Minnesota school students, but also to join joint practices between K-12 an higher education.
