"The time has never been more right for the Games+Learning+Society Conference! The world is finally beginning to catch on: Great videogames can be great learning tools.: This conference is about “exploring the impact of games and game culture on learning and society. The conference — [is] now three days long and at UW’s historic Memorial Union, overlooking downtown Madison’s beautiful Lake Mendota.” Discussions involving researchers, designers, and educators are among the many features of this conference.

Life and Death in the Age of Malaria
“This game teaches you about malaria and how to reduce the risk of contracting it when traveling abroad.” The player has the option to take a pre-knowledge quiz.
